If you are driving to Eastbourne on the A27 from Brighton you should note that the A27 will be CLOSED near Polegate on race day. As this is the main arterial road into the town from the West it is likely to cause major frustrations if you are cutting it fine and you ignore diversion signs!!

Diversion signs are in place from Lewes (and vice versa) so please be aware of them. If you know the area WELL (or have a good map/satnav) then there are alternative minor (and probably quicker) routes via Ringmer, Alfriston or Berwick/Hailsham. Do NOT be tempted to drive past Drusilla's Roundabout near Alfriston on the A27 as you will not get through at Polegate and will have to turn back.

Please plan your route well ahead and LEAVE PLENTY OF TIME FOR DELAYS

FB - looks like your on your own at this race, no thanks for your public service and assistance. I will be 200 miles away doing the Liverpool Half and knowing Liverpool City Council they will have done all they can to balls up this race, diversions, not allowing the run anywhere near the city, probably close all surrounding roads so nobody can actually get to the race.

City of culture But no one to organise or run it

But they listen to some lazy fat git who complained that he couldnt get his car out of drive for an hour last year, so they have made the run change course for the last 4 miles so that he is not inconvenienced. Its not like he would not have had any notice of the race and could have moved his car beforehand.

yes definately be aware, besides they might decide its a nice day to dig a hole anyway! ...if coming from Brighton direction I would go the coast road to be safe.
