From the organisers:

Entry forms are now available for the 2006 The Isle of Man Easter Athletics Festival - a great social and athletic weekend. Organised by Manx Harriers for many it has become an annual ritual.
For many the social side is the highlight of the weekend with many taking advantage of the fairly liberal licensing laws. However, there are also a number of subventions to be won. In recent years a number of athletes have won several hundred pounds for the efforts over the week. With a number of team prizes too, those with a strong team are likely to increase their chances of earning a sufficient amount to cover the cost of their trip.
The festival has four main parts - three of these involve running and the fourth is for unwinding after a hard weekend's athletics. Good Friday sees the start of the festival with an evening 10K road race in Port Erin. On Saturday afternoon, action moves to Peel in the west of Island for the hill race. The men compete over a four mile course and the women over a three mile route. Tradition for many is to run back to Douglas - a distance of around 11 miles taking in a few of the local pubs on route! Sunday morning concludes the running with a 4 x 5k road relay for men (although there are individual fastest leg prizes) and 5k road race for women. All events are well marshalled with a high level of assistance and cooperation from the local police. The festival concludes with what for many is the highlight of the weekend, the prize giving on Sunday night. This is always a great night and features a disco and the famous beer drinking races. Visit the festival website at www.easterfestival.info for more details plus information on travel & accommodation (3 night packages available from £99) plus a guide to how and when to start planning your athletics group trip to next years festival

PP - Is this weekend mainly for universities?? I just had a look at the results and there seems to only be uni teams entered.

No, the uni teams comprise of past members of universities so ages go from 18 to 50+ and I know that a lot of the Leeds Uni team consist of people from Leeds City, Pudsey etc. People from clubs all around the country really. In the past there has been a big club turnout at this event. The event wasn't very well publicised last year and I believe the turnout was mainly manx and uni teams. But the organisers seem to be more on the ball this year, targeting more social running clubs and have put the event on www.ukresults.net.

Definately not a kids only event by any means.
