Interested to see the possibility of a prk run in Singleton...definately interested in that. I might incoprporate into my usual Staurday morning LSR!

Update- the Llyn Llech Owen event WILL be on every Saturday, launching officially hopefully in March

Looks like we're going to get a local Parkrun, guys

Excellent news for anyone living in West wales not wanting the big commute to Cardiff PR.

JD - Well the house viewing Sat am was worth it by the way - we are going to put an offer in. We loved the property. Only a mile from the forest I usually train in too

my daughter is on the verge of giving birth so I can't really commit to anything right now. She has two young children who will be coming to me when she goes into labour. As soon as I can feel I can commit, I'll be along at least to marshal in the first instance. I could be there this weekend if she is not needing me

No internet connection yesterday, but managed to run! Best of both worlds- made a big snowman in my garden with my boy, then discovered that only 2 miles away the roads were snow free!

Just curious when this Park Run will 'go live' ie be listed on the Park Run website?

I think the plan to 'go live' is early March. A few trial runs planned before.

Bit of news for you all- excuse the copy and paste!

"News re Parkrun Llyn Llech Owain - official live date MARCH 23RD. Also, Jo Sinton Hewitt of Parkrun is coming to Carmarthen to speak with the volunteers, answer any questions and show the equipment they use on Wed MARCH 6TH at 5:30pm. We need as many volunteers as possible ( even if only volunteer every 3 months). veue TBC and should only take 1 hr! let us know if keen!"

Thanks for the update. Great news.

Have a race most Sundays now, but hope to make the official launch PR in March. There's a 5k race in Swansea on the 16th March, so hopefully it wont clash with that.

Jenf - just curious, do you run for Llanelli AC?
