Really enjoyed the run, did really well until 8k then struggled a bit but the other runers were fantastic and kept me going. managed to keep running and did it in 1.03.18 by my watch and 1.04.01 by official timing. That's my first ever 10k so a really huge sense of achievment.

As I said though can't thank the other runners enough I would have definately walked some of it without them.
(Aching today though!!)

By the way what does the V number mean on the results?

Mine says V35 87th

Diana - V35, means a Veteran over 35 years old. I am 41, sometimes I am a V40.

Btw - That is a very good time for a undulating first 10k.

My time was:
1:00:29 by my watch.
1:01:16 by the offical timing.

I'm really pleased with my time - 50:31 by the official clock, 49:58 by my watch which is almost 8 minutes better than last year and a new PB! I've got the 10k in two weeks at Victoria Country Park - my aim is to get an officially recorded sub 50 minute time.

Well done everybody,

Sam

Well the results say 52.19 so OK for first one after a long lay off but lots of work required to get back to fitness methinks.
