Did a tour of Rainhill, Whiston, Prescot and a bit of Widnes. Managed a good few hills to make it a bit tougher.

LB - know how you feel. I did the Dentdale Run yesterday. "Undulating" they say - yeah right.

Question - I've nothing against fun runners and fancy dress etc but do folk think it was bad form of the first and second finishers in the Dentdale Run, who must be athetes of at least national standard, to enter under the false names of Peter Parker and Clark Kent and run in Spiderman and Superman outfits? Doesn't seem right to me.

Distributed flyers for the marathon after the race, and seemed to drum up some interest. Will collect more when next in Liverpool. Four others from my woolyback running club have entered in the last week and I think there are more to come.

Afternoon peeps,

10 miles yesterday and 20 of the hilliest miles around today. I won't even pretend it was easy but I did it and that's my last 20 miler before Brighton, phew

LB, how did you get a photo of my cat Tinker?

Did you all hear me singing yesterday when the footy was on? Hubby was watching it and although I'm not into it I always listen to the chants and 'cos it was Man U I was singing "He's fat, he's round, he'll sh@g your nan for forty pounds, roo-00-00-ney" (which I read in the Sunday Times of all places!)

Alan, I've got enough postcards for the Hastings 1/2 next week but have you sent any down for the Brighton marathon? Or are you coming down to help again and bringing some with you? I haven't worked out my summer races but if there's an opportunity for more leafleting I'll let you know.

Jakesy, how did your 20 mile race go today? Super speedy I'll bet!

Redhead - we will down at Brighton attending the Expo so will be around that weekend. Probably helping out at the finish on race day as well.

Good grief, Jakesy, I was pleased with myself before I saw that.

I did 10 miles @ 9:02 pace which would give me a sub-2 hour half if I can squeeze out the last 3.1 miles at the same pace.

Apologies to anyone on New Brighton prom near the dips and clown who had the joy of me shouting at myself to keep pushing. I must have sounded like I was trying to deliver a baby!
