Bright

Lord Shoestring.......your race directions were gobbledigook & written in Chinese     But I'll forgive you as you came to rescue us with hot pies.

Dinda, I think you could say we got a tiny bit lost....... Over 7 hours to do 17 miles. Or more like 27 miles.....

Has anyone ever done a race with a bunny down their t-shirt??  Found a poorly wabbit & took it with me in the hope it would die in my arms, as it was a very very poorly wabbit.....but I had to leave him behind eventually, as impossible to run holding a wabbit. He was nice & warm down my top, & I felt mean leaving him......  Saw lots of  'ickle baby lambs, awwww....

really enjoyed the run - it was fab!!!  Thanks Steve!

that was tasty, (not just the pie) hadn't done a run that required a map before, lots of fun and some head scratching. bits of lovely lancashire I hadn't seen before too.

although I think I'd best go and feed another rabbit (see two posts above) to the Weather God, if it'd rained I'd probably still be out there!

 Question to Reader:-

Are there many other races of this ilk around the preston area? I know there are loads a bit further afield (sic) but it galls me to drive for longer than the actual event itself...

well done bright

It was a good one Dinda. Great views & running through fields of cute newborn lambs.

Out of interest, did anyone ever see the "tall conifer" landmark?? Because we back-tracked 3 times & never saw it.....  We somehow got to the wooden hut by the river, but no way could we find the conifer, stone wall or hedge....  Maybe we'd ended up in Garstang or something.....

Thanks for a great race Steve.  Really really enjoyed it.

awww litte wabbits and lambs so cute.

Bright Bimbler well done on finnishing.

I ran the what meant to be nine miles but a lot of people got 11.6 ,  but what a jolly good run.

Hope its on again next year.

Dan, look at the Long Distance Walking Association website - they do challenge events that can be walked or run - similar to this one.

The results list shows 92 people. Is that the 9 milers along with the 17 milers?

Could Lord Shoestring do 2 lists, so we can see who did which race? The times don't mean much if you don't know which race they did.

How many did 17 miles??

Another of Steve's races tomorrow. Caldervale 10 miler.

I demand he brings me pies again during the race. In fact, he can run alongside me holding a brolly over me, as it's going to rain.

early swim for me then shopping and check on local bus fleets as I get weekly reports then walk and long run in afternoon

BB, i didn't see a large conifer either. But I did hear a chain saw..............................

Do you suppose the two are linked???????????

Come to think of it I'm sure I saw a chainsaw & some axes in the back of Shoestring's car.....
