I'm in! And yes it is a pretty flat course, taking in a lake and nice mile or two along the canal. Slight uphill last mile I think but nothing frightening
tempted by this, but never done a half before!
It is pretty flat around MK, and the lakes are quite nice.
What MK lacks in hills it makes up for with roundabouts
i'm in, lol runabouts johnny2323 looking forward to this as last half in mk was rotten weather so hoping beening as it's july weather will not be -1 :-0
I'm in. Had an absolute shocker at the Southend Half last Sunday. Fell off the rails with the training for that one (included a few too many Friday night benders, McDs, not enough long runs, long runs not long enough...). Need to right that wrong!
24 days to go!
Finding it hard to find some accomodation for that weekend - just realised the F1 Grand Prix at Silverstone is on that weekend! Hotelliers are cashing in! Arghhh!
Any advice on getting to the start from the train station? All FAQ are about parking...with the relatively small number of entrants/most people driving would a taxi be OK?
Can I assume it is similar to Southend and has potential for a PB?
From Milton keynes station its 5 minutes in a cab to the start/finish of the event. Always plenty of Black cabs outside the station. Even though its Grand Prix day their shouldn't be any problems getting one. Most people going to the GP will be making their way by car, not getting cabs.
Anyone got their race pack yet? I entered on 10th May, but still not received one...
Havent received race pack yet - though I did only register last week. Shouldnt be too far away.
18 days to go!
2 more long Sunday runs then should be ready-ish. Goal: 2h 5m.
