Thought I'd give this a go - not too many events near me. Hopefully it's not too steep!

Sorry, doing Hestercombe instead.

Have done this twice, once in each direction. Couple of steep sections but great route apart from that. Lovely views when you get up the top, but blink and you may miss the Obelisk. LOL

Can get quite muddy in sections, but not the worst race I have ever done. They do tend to go off quite quick so beware of that one. Have fun.

I'm quite good at pacing myself at the start as my main enjoyment is pickiing of club runners at the end

. Not that I expect to win any prizes, just using it as a training run really.

I am hopeless, i go off way too quick and really need to work on it.

Never say never on the prize front. I never expect to win anything, yet last weekend I won my age group in a race.... couldn't believe it. We never bothered to go to the prize giving, wish I had this time. Will prob be the first and last time I win anything though.
