The Official Paris Marathon website will be open later this week (we are promised) for registration online.

This will be my fourth year running.

Good oppos. for a pb and great for sightseeing during the race and for a weekend trip.

Tried to register on-line, but think that my attempt failed. Any way of knowing? What happens when application accepted? Does internet show confirmation screen?

You can't register yet (see message #1 above)

When you eventually can register, you will receive an immediate e-mail by reply to confirm your regsitration, and a few days later, you will be able to check online to see your allocated number.

Registration IS open. Completion of the first screen (personal details) went OK. The problem was the second 'secure' payment screen. Perhaps, when keying in my credit card no, I should have left gaps between each set of four digits? I just don't know.
Don't really want to repeat the process over and over agian, just in case I end up with multiple registration and an empty bank account.

I have also tried to register (for the 1/2 as I'm doing London) but it won't take any of my credit card details (gaps or otherwise). Tried Visa and Mastercard. Assume bugs and will try later. Anyone completed on-line registration ?
Unless the transaction goes through, you won't be charged.

Found the site in the end, but couldn't register either - will leave it a week or two until they've ironed out the bugs in the system..

Makes me feel better that everyone else unsuccessful. Indeed, don't think that the registration screen is currently even accessible.

Might opt for my already 'guaranteed' London place, although can't help thinking that Paris would be 'sexier'

The half takes place the month before Tinks. I think 6th March (?) - perfectly timed as a training race for Paris of FLM. You coming over for it?

Hmm..might do the half. Might be in LA to run the marathon there on that date, but if i get cowardly and bail out i might well go for Paris...

DRR were considering doing the Barca marathon in March, but as that's been cancelled now, there is every possibility of a DRR trip to Paris again.

Does this race usually 'sell out' very quickly, or can I afford to leave it for a few days?

I entered on-line in December last year. Tiger mentioned that the price goes up after 31st October though.

According to the website the price is:

42 Euros until 31/10/04
54 Euros from 01/11/04 - 31/12/04
66 Euros from 01/01/05 - 20/02/05

sold out by early February this year (34,500 places), so suggest you get in before the end of the year to be sure.
