Spectacular, short 6 mile run today in the late afternoon. Temperature perfect. Ran with BRF and tried to get her pace up a little - she did very well.  She was to run the Disney Mara with her brother, but he has withdrawn  - so I will run with her at her pace  - probably 5 - 5.15 hours.  So, my plan is to take the Half mara easy on Saturday then the full at her pace Sunday.  Paris will be back to racing.

From today's run:

Could someone with access to P+D do me a favour (my copy is currently out on loan)?

Maybe it's obvious but I want to know what pace they recommend for "Medium long run", and how that differs to "recovery" and "long run".

Plan starts on Monday... with a rest day

Nice picture Dannirr, that's pretty similar to the conditions I've been running in for the last few weeks, have wished I had a camera with me more than once. We're into minus temperatures this morning, but looks like a lovely day in store. I will be running at lunchtime, unless that's against the social policy now too

That looks so nice , D..

Iain, I'm doing the Semi.I've done it a few times. The route is, basically, the eastern half of the mara' course...from Vincennes, through the woods, into town and back out.It doesn't have anything like the same razamatazz but it always seems to be on a lovely bright morning.

By accident?

Ordered a jacket in size small...arrived...looked very small...tried it on...couldn't even straighten my arms and only just do it up then realiszed it was a ladies small...

DLR you disappoint me...

Leg is still hurty, the rest of me is still snotty.  A physio friend has told me I have a weak arse and given me a load of exercises to do, most of which involve me looking like a total womble and falling over.  Ward 6 I believe you may have made the, erm , acquaintence of the Physio

In other news, Mr Maj is coming home tonight.  I've not seen him for 3 weeks and he'll be home for a mammoth 36 hours before he goes away again...

Try to let him out of the bedroom for at least a couple of hours rest, dear.

Hi Neil - MLR is run at same pace as LSR.

It's my wifely duty to share my lurgy with him...

Besides, my 12 year old prefers to think that I *never* have sex.  Ever.

The merest mention of sex and TD turns up...
