We can now say

"It's a week on Sunday till the marathon "

'Running with a Cold?' Don't do it! It's not big and it's not clever. I feel like sh*t.
I should have listened. Muppet. And Mrs Mac is giving me all the sympathy I deserve....

Glad it's a week on Sunday and not this Sunday.

OK - Hubby has got a cold. On what grounds do temporary exclusion apply?

25/03/2013 at 19:19
Emmy - put him in the shed. NOW.

Simon, I feel your plight can only be fully illustrated by a Venn diagram...

GENIUS!

Emmy - DO NOT exchange any bodily fluids with him.....

25/03/2013 at 19:30
ATM- brilliant! I deserve even less than that...
25/03/2013 at 19:39

Yep, the sympathy is in Emmy's shed...

I think I am going to have to lock myself in a dark room........

Brilliant run tonight, 9 miles in calm and very cold. Saw the sunset from a very high hill over The Old Man of Hoy, and the view was amazing!! Happy Days!

OOOH and Eldest Junior got the most amazing School Report ever......glad she saves the attitiude for home!!!

LOVE the Venn diagram! Hope all colds/sniffles dissipate quickly! Mr T has enacted an exclusion zone at his work, shooing the boss with the sniffles away! hilarious!
Emmy - get some triple strength horseradish and garlic tablets. My friend swears by them, takes them daily in winter, and doubles the dose when someone around her gets sick, hasn't had a cold/flu in 7 years!!
Kaz - win for you AND moody teen!! You'll be bffs before you know it

Weedy - masterful teaser. Thirteen Days with Mr Kevin Costner.

Ps. Can you add me in for the Alnwick Half on June 23rd and the Half Marathon of the North on April 28th please?

Wow, I go away for a few days and the page numbers have shot up massively...

A weekend away in Birmingham has given me a flu-y illness...usually I'm not one for medicines but I'll be buying a load of lemsip and iboprofen later on to try and clear it up quickly. Don't think I'll be getting a run in a for a few days, but maybe that's best given the ice, and it'll force me to curb my milage anyway. I have thursday-monday off so was thinking of getting one last 9 mile in thursday and then just a short run every other day until next friday. Fun fun.

Daddsy - nurse yourself and take it easy, you'll be back to normal in no time. Forgive the science-bit but Lemsip good, Ibuprofen not so good, particularly when you are in danger of dehydration.

You're right, Simon. We were too easy on you. yer_maj has a point...   https://plus.google.com/photos/117729082344820870557/albums/5805084366828840641/5859386060192758818?banner=pwa

I'm gonna start packing for Paris tonite. May well post a list on here later of all the stuff. Yes, starting to go a bit loopy.
25/03/2013 at 21:02
I've been banished to the spare room. Better than the shed I suppose.

TJB - lists? Already? Pull yourself together man.

Jimbob, sweetheart, you're upsetting my karma.  This week is for obsessing about the weather and various ailments.  NEXT week is for packing.  Over and over and over again...

loving the mad tapir and the tapir madness!!

For anyone staying around/near the arc du triumphe, there will most likely be liquid and food consumption occuring mid-afternoonish.  I don't have time to plan it at the moment but I'll look into it closer to the time so we don't end up wandering around aimlessly while my beer gets emptier and emptier!!!  RIGHT, DLR!!!

Emmy, if DLR scares you too much you can drop your stuff at my hotel.  We'll probably be running about the same time too.
