You'd be perfect.  Seriously.  And education really needs more male teachers - sadly, with so many divorced families and with the majority of children still living with their Mums, not their Dads, children need strong male role models even more as they're growing up.  And you'd definitely be one of those.

I'd definitely agree with Yer-maj. You'd be a great teacher Jimbob

I qualified as a teacher....back in the dark ages.

TJB - yip, you'd be a great teacher and the kids would love you.

A few injuries starting to surface - take care folks.

Really enjoying running in the early hours. It's a lovely time of day. I would definitely struggle to do any speedy work before breakfast though!

I have lost all my contacts on Garmin Connect and am struggling to sort the problem. Frustrating.... I like to see what you are all up to!

I'm the child of two teachers - an appalling indictment for any child

Quality DLR. Cheers for the supporting words ladies its scary contemplating a change of career, for now I'll have to make do with being helpful dad who goes into school to help out with music and sport activities.

Jimbob..  a point of view from the other side about teaching...  Mrs DV was Director of Music at a very good school for 14 years..  she loved the teaching, but the politics and constant government goal posts changing every few years drove her nuts...  so, she left...  another one of the statistics.

The following month, the UK economy went into free fall.   Was there a link..?

I do agree with the others though..  an inspirational teacher will change lives and we all remember our favourite teachers from school.

Simon - was coming up saying I was still connected to you. I've disconnected, then clicked connect, so you hopefully have an email notification.

Jimbob - you'd be a perfect teacher. I looked into it a while back, but I'd need a degree.

Yer Maj - sorry to hear.

Saying that - there was a very attractive girl at the gym today and my head did turn...

She wasn't wearing identical clothes to you was she? Those pesky mirrors catch me out too

In some respect I am a treacher - to the medical students and pediatric residents that come through our ICUs.  It's a lot of fun to be sure, but after sessions with the residents (who are 6 months from finishing their specialist training as Paediatricians) I am often left wondering if I knew that little when I was let loose on an unsuspecting public.
