I ran the Port Sunlight 10k May 13th 2012, it was my 1st race and introduction to running, i enjoyed it that much i would love to do it again, i keep looking online to see if they are running the event again this year but their website only relates to the 2012 run. Does any know of any plans for running the event again in 2013?

I think they are still looking for a sponsor to let 2013 happen. I hope they find one - it was a good race.

A real shame that this doesn't look like it is going to happen, it was a good race! One of the organisers Matt (no relation) is responsible for this race

If it's as well organised as the Port Sunlight event last year it is deffinately worth doing this one.

Good news! I'm not involved with helping to organise the race this year but I've heard the Village Trust are going ahead with the race. I think It's pencilled in for Sunday 19th May. Their website is www.portsunlightvillage.com

I'm organising my own race called the 'Liverpool Spring 10k' on Sunday 5th May. Please visit www.merseyraces.co.uk for more info.

I'm hoping they do go ahead with it, it was my first and only race so far and am really hoping to be able to re-do it this year as a recovery from knee surgery.

Fingers crossed

Pleased to announce that the Port Sunlight 10K will be going ahead. Run Liverpool (now btr Liverpool) has been appointed to deliver the event this year. It is confirmed the event will be hosted on Sunday, 19th May. Details on www.btrliverpool.com within the next week as the site should be live by Friday, 25th January.

I'm looking forward to this event. I attended on the day last year and thought it looked really good. I think Matt did a first class job and hopefully we can improve things in year 2.

That brilliant news,  the whole package was outstanding and only the 1st running of the event. I`ll be watching as I have a feeling places will be snapped up very quickly.

Good job Matt and thanks

It has been agreed that an overall limit will be imposed of 2,000 but that will include 500 places for a 5K race leaving 1,500 for the 10K.

LP - I think that Port Sunlight Trust will contact you directly about the race if you took part last year. Alternatively you can pick up details on www.btrliverpool.com
