Just opening a new thread to invite entries to the 3rd running of this low key event in the heart of the North Nottinghamshire countryside.

I actually organise it.
This will be the third year, the first two being very low key with only around 40 entrants each time, following this we have decided to try and enlarge the race somewhat.
The race is run through Retford AC, with Help for Heroes being the primary charitable beneficiary.

The race itself is an undulating route along quiet roads in the countryside, even if I do say so myself it's a very pleasant if challenging route and was commended by previous entrants.

51 entries so far.

This is a good humoured event with numerous prizes on offer these being for first 3 and age group awards, spot prizes also. Race t-shirts for finishers.

This event is raising money for "Help for Heroes" and "Diabetes Awareness" so the majority of your entry fee will be supporting good causes.

Yes you can sign up on the day, though be aware there only a limited number of race t-shirts left

Many thanks to everyone who turned up this morning, you'll be pleased to know that your entry fees contributed around £300 towards Help for Heroes and Diabetes Awareness,

As for the race, I hope the course was "enjoyed", unfortunately the weather was against us and spoilt the prize giving ceremony.

I will endeavour to get the results on the Retford AC website asap, and will post a link to them at that time, meanwhile if anyone would like to know their individual results just ask me on here.
