V. clever Paul. I'm not suprised at all, a lot of us Yorkshire folk are runners and anything about Jane Tomlinson has been on our local news for years. The Leeds Marathon has stopped running as local businesses have moaned so much about the road closures so I think there was a bit of a gap there. I bet it'll be one of the most publicised marathons after London!

I'm not sure where the route will be going, but there are very few lumps in and around York. Lots in Leeds, maybe why the Leeds marathon never did very well. That and the fact it was 2 loops ofthe same hills!

6 mile commute to work again. Working extra days is keeping my bike miles up a bit. 24 miles this week. Running miles are suffering though. I'm glad you do enough to keep this thread going Paul!

Ha ha Paul. Its the name of the bike not the terrain!

Snow here this morning. Enough to make it all look pretty in the trees and on the lawn, but not enough to disrupt work yet. Perfect, though more is forecast for later. I'm doing the commute on my mountain bike, hopefully all the mud in the fields will still be frozen.

Physio visit this morning

I am not allowed to try running until at least after the next visit in 4 week - he is thinking a tendon problem so lots of stretches and exercises given plus I can leave these horrible toe tectors for when I actually need toe protection - they provide too much support for the foot and ankle

Evening. Its not the weather for running anyway Maddy!

6 or so miles commuting, it was lovely and snowy on the way in but the temperature was not quite cold enough on the way home so I still got a but muddy. It was hard work as well! Hard frost overnight, but I have another 14 hour day so think I'll treat myself to the car tomorrow.

Just in from work. Well done on running out in it Paul. It's a bit too sloppy underfoot here. The roads are fine but the pavements have turned to sheet ice!
