I did have a good run thanks, despite the lack of training. 55 minutes which wasn't bad for the amount of hills and mud. It was very cold at the start but the sun managed to make an appearance. I was warm enough to ditch my headband and gloves for the last third.

Well done on your run Paul.

I need to enter another one now, to try to gain some momentum....

Do you know I was actually considering it on the run today. My friend is doing the Yorkshire one...... But I checked and it is full up. Never mind.

I am about to find out which support group for VLM I am doing

Plenty more phys, throw me some dates and I'll consult my big book of marthons.

Will be good to see you @ VLM Maddy, is this for Mudchute?

Marshalled at a 10k this morning - can't understand how such a short run can be any real fun.

Yep mudchute - not sure whne I am travelling down yet - last years floor has relocated to southend

I think I've changed my mind anyway Paul

25 miles freezing on the road bike today. We planned to go further but the wind was really bitter and just not pleasant.

What's mudshute?

An area in London Docklands, about miles 16-18 of VLM.

Its where the RW crew set up its support station - it shas its own DLR station and everything

I am thinking about getting a hostel room the night before it only has to be somewehre in London

I stayed at a YHA hostel last year when I was London for a course. It was v reasonable and fine for a night or 2.

Ok Paul. What Mara's have you planned for Oct?

Bournemouth on the 6th and Abingdon on 20th. Come and visit the Dorset Rivera and we'll run Bournemouth together, more than welcome to stay over with us.

Nice 8.2 miles tonight in the daylight and sunshine. Taunton Marathon on Sunday

Evening. Such a nice day, if still cold. So nice to get home, late as usual as it was after 7, but still light

Shame Abingdon full as timing is better for that. Someone else mentioned Dublin.....

Just thinking though

Light snow here - opted for a warm 6 miler on the treadie.

No exercise this week, staff sick again. Literally. The physio had to run out of a treatment session and I had to take over! Long day yesterday. The forecast is better for the weekend though, still cold but at least the winds are dropping.

Rest day here, running Taunton on Sunday with a mate who is running his first (hopefully of many) marathons. 3:30 pacing is the name of the game.

I somehow struggle to relate Paul to the term 'rest day'

Possbily biggest club bike ride for years tomorrow if te wind dies down and doesn't scare everyone off

05/04/2013 at 20:13

Oh it would be rude not to
