Sun has returned, nice but hilly 14 miler this morning
We had sun this morning but pretty impressive thunderstorms this evening. I was planning a run but it was simply not practical in that kind of rain!
Nice fast 9.3 miler tonight with the club.
Evening. 31 mile road ride this evening with a friend. I felt really strong and it was a beautiful evening.
I'd done a bike fit and pedalling assessment on my friend recently and she has been working on all the stuff I gave her and her position on the bike is much better. Her power has improved massively and even though I know the theory it is amazing to see the difference some small changes and a bit of advice can make!
Tonight I was the support team and Mrs A ran a 5k............thud........
25.41 which was a PB and very well run considering no specific training and only a few days notice
Well done MrsA !!
What brought that on, with only a few days notice?
I was thinking of another reccy run for an alternative long route for the charity walk, but it started throwing it down this afternoon. Maybe tomorrow...
She was caught at a weak moment when asked by some of the other club racers. Mrs A did well and came 2nd out of the 5 experienced racers, she only lost out by 1 second to the fastest club runner.
Lovely 10.75 miles tonight in the sunshine with a pint, pie and chips after
More well done to MrsA, she should race more often????
Still not done that reccy, unforeseen events lead to me doing a 14 hour day yesterday. I was just too tired to run today...... And the weather was gorgeous..... Afternoon in tthe garden on E's beautifully manicured lawn won out
Sunny 9.75 miler this morning
Nice hilly 11m club run this morning followed by a big breakfast at the Station Cafe
Afternoon. 14 miles mountain biking done in the local woods. A lovely sunny morning again . I am a little scratched and stung though..... Its obviously not just our garden that has been growing well in this weather!
Just about to sit down to watch the highlights of today's Surrey Classic road race.
9.25 miles club this tonight, sunshine and hills.
Morning. Pre work run plans were scuppered by call centre delays which made a simple job of renewing car and home insurance a extended battle to stay calm!
Now to work
V quiet on here, 7 easy miles on the track tonight, marathon on Sunday
Evening. Its coz I'm doing no exercise!
We are off to the Dales for the weekend, mountain biking tomorrow at least.
Where is the marathon this time Paul?
Off road around Salisbury.
Number 135 in the bag, 3:34 and 6th place. Should have trusted my previous knowledge of the course and unwisely chose to follow an erroneous sign in the last couple of miles which cost me an extra mile, 2 places and a sub 3:30. Never mind
Well done Paul. Poor signage or very frustrating, but at least it's another one notched up.
We had a lovely weekend in Dales. 20 mile, hilly mountain bike ride on Saturday. It was cold though. A taste of autumn!
Nice 9 miler tonight.
