Great day out in what has to be the best trail marathon out there - doesn't get any flatter and my female companion wanted to DNF at 13 miles. I wouldn't let her and dragged her round a further 14 miles, by which point she had cheered up and was running better. So the (perhaps optimistic) sub 4 turned into a 4:33 but still placed pretty high up. Not about the time on a route like that. 224.

Well done Paul, sounds like a hard one today, your motivation skills must be quite amazing Paul.

Rest day here, just work.

We both won our AGs anyway

17 miles road biking done here setting off at 7.30am, felt very virtuous!

Great work phys.

10 miler tonight at a good pace. Off to Kent again on Thurs for a 6 hour race on Friday to commemorate the Somme Centenary.

5 miler on the treadie tonight.

Typical windy Dover weather today for themagnificent Somme Centenary Challenge. 9 tough laps for me and 34.8 miles which I think was one lap further than anyone else. Ran my 7 laps (27 miles) and then jogged 2 extra to help a club mate who was struggling. She was happy and I got some bonus miles. The best medal ever.
Very poignant, prayer and silence before the start which was sounded by whistles exactly as the going over the top was 100 years ago today - magnificent.

Back in sunny Dorset, results out and confirmed that I did win overall yesterday

Hilly 10 miler done this morning, just to keep the legs ticking over.

Sunday sounded like a very impressive event. Both for you winning and for the commemoration which helps to put our own lives into perspective.

We did a trailer ride, with me towing. The weekly trip is getting gradually harder as Physlet gets gradually heavier! We did some hills and I could feel it in my legs on the cycle commute today! It is amazing how much stronger I can feel I'm getting, despite not doing that much riding. When I set off on my road bike with the skinny tyres, after pulling the trailer off road, it feels like I'm flying!!

Lovely, sunny evening for a nice and hilly 7.8 miler tonight, but mean making the group do 2 climbs of a big hill but they will thank me for it.

Very hot 10k treadie run tonight.

Quick 8 miler in lovely warm sunshine at the track tonight.

I did 2 cycle commutes this week, but didn't really have time to log! Now on holiday in Shropshire, hoping to get some trailer towing miles in

Enjoy the holiday, hope the weather stays kind for you all.

Been a treadmill heavy weekend following from a v good track session on Fri night. Plenty of fast miles to keep the speed up. Not sure if you saw on FB but ran the last 12.5k of Prague Marathon route yesterday, virtual of course. A decent 10k in the Scottish Highlands this morning. Incredibly hot in our sun room but all good training.

It is Guy's official 100th marathon next Sunday (102 really, he had a couple of spares just in case) at the Dorset Invader - a Roman themed trail marathon that was brilliant last year. Looking forward to it, going to be quite a celebration.

That running sounds like hot work! The last 12k of Prague felt very hard if I remember rightly... All to get a GFA for London that in the end I couldn't even use

Mixed weather here, but we timed our trailer ride well this morning, just missing the rain.

A nice, brisk and lumpy 8.9 miler tonight.

Fun time this evening pacing 22 mins at the Club July 5k - 21:59 so good work, a large group too with most making the time

E and I did our first bike ride without Physlet yesterday, mountain biking at a trail centre while my parent took him on a walk. Great fun . Then a 24 mile trailer ride along a canal here today, so some good bike miles this week.
