Posted on 'main' thread ...

If anyone's thinking of entering on day, beware... I still haven't got my suit, so emailed organiser yesterday - got following reply

"No entries on the day. All 4,500 suits have been allocated. I am now returning postal applications!! All entries have processed and suits and race information sent out. You will receive!"

Also know of someone who went to Albert Dock yesterday, and collected the LAST entry.

I shall be there and entered but the publicity has been negligible. Apart from the Runners World site I haven't seen anything. It made donations very difficult to collect before the run as no one had heard of it (Just thought I was a bit quaint running around in my Santa Gear and Labrador dog)

I seen a little article in the Liverpool Echo about 2 weeks ago but I also thought the race would have been more publicised i.e. radio city and more in the press considering the charity is chosen by the Echo sunrise fund and the more publicity for the event the better

Good Fun. But where was the Liverpool humour. Trying to get the crowd to even clap was a major feat. Come on you runners. Get your supporters to support all those spectators who turn out to support

Also was I mistaken about the start time. I thought it was 10am (as stated on the Runners World Site) but I am sure we got off at 9.30am. Good job most of us were early.

But now the good points. Lovely to see the kids taking part. Great Goody Bag. Fair medal. Good weather. Good Humour all round (participants). No fights(sorry Wales).Shops open early for the spectators. Course different. See you again next year. Merry Christmas everyone!!!
