David, meercat & I shared a rose flavoured ice-cream, you were very welcome to the odd lick.

Wasn't there a great turn-out. The race has obviously gained a good reputation for it's well oiled wheels. Many, Many thanks to all the organisers and marshalls who give of their lunch time and free time.

I was well chuffed with my increased age related timing of 81.7%.

Ceal, thanks (I think), muggins had to stay at the Dell to do the results so a Diet Coke and a brownie for me.

81.7% - whoosh!

Did anybody, except Serpentine memberes, receive a text message with their result for the race?

We use the 5k as a test for the New Years Day 10k and if you have already entered this race and supplied us with your number you could have received it this Friday.

I didn't recieve a text meassage (and I'm not a Serpentine member). But I'm not entering the 10K either - I'm a bit confused about what you mean Lars!

Or message even.

I got a message Lars! It wasn't welcome as it confirmed my worst time ever for this race!! But it arrived a couple of hours afterwards.

Sim: Shouldn't you have been working instead of checking your phone for messages?

I see your colleague didn't take it as easy as I thought he would, with a 19.50. And well done yesterday with your 1.35 (when expecting a lot worse). You wouldn't have done it without taking it easy in Friday's race though.

Maybe my body is trying to tell me something - too old for these short sprints, concentrate on distance not speed!
01/11/2004 at 11:41
Or maybe cut down on drinking.
02/11/2004 at 17:43
no villa cut down on unnecessary racing. drinking is paramount

It's what I'm doing tonight anyway in the Warrington. Are you coming? Be good if you did, we can exchange some light bulb jokes.
03/11/2004 at 14:01
Unfortunatley I don't know of any such jokes villa I'll just have to listen to yours.
03/11/2004 at 14:04
Someone did tell me a good one yesterday. It was brilliant actually. Would you like to hear it?
