Buxton, derbyshire, Biziliz.. No, going back soon after, normally stop for whole week-end, but i'm away next week-end in the lakes and my brownie points at home are rapidly dwindling !!

What about you - are you staying over tomorrow ?

You'll be fine when it starts. Enjoy.

SP don't envy you that, hope you have someone to share the driving.  Luckily for me this one is on my doorstep, I live in N. Wales.  It's my first marathon but hopefully not my last so I'm sure the trainer will be on the other foot sooner or later re the travelling.  Hope all goes to plan for you.  And everyone else too.

off to bed now.  Looking forward to reading all the reports tomorrow evening. Nite.

Safe journey. I live only 19miles from the start, but will still be going there fairly handily - meet clubmates, soak up the atmosphere etc. Sounds windy out there at the mo, but the conditions at the top of the Pass (15miles away) could be totally different. Pob lwc pawb! Good luck everyone!

How I felt for you poor souls today. The weather was as it said on the tin. I should have been up on dinas taking some photos but I chickened out.  Well done to all who completed the course and I hope you all did.

 Well done.

I've just about warmed up - about to have a nice warm bath with a Belgian called Stella

(I don't blmaing you for chickening out SS - gale force winds and driving rain!)

I don't think I have ever been so wet and sore in my life, but what a great day!

Thanks T Rex for you excellent pacing and encouragement. How did the 4 hour positive running group members all do?

Evening all

Just got back!, don't know what was worse, the race or the drive!!!. Think it has to be the race, what a day, Still managed a PB for the coarse, did 3:12:16 knocked 2 Min's off last year.

John Bach, Nice to catch up with you mate, although it was only for two minuets.

Tomos, thanks for the results, great job

T Rex, was that you I was in the bus shelter with waiting for the bus to the start? what do you look like?

Marathonman61, well done mate, new PB

Just landed in South Wales, pizza and beer mmmmmmmmmmm. 3.35ish, 28 minutes faster than last year - awesome. Loved the weather - especially being pushed uphill by the wind in Waunfawr!!

Hi FL

I ran this race a lot more senisbly than 2007, but wheels came off a wee bit at mile 20 (insufficient training?). Still happy to beat last years time by over 11mins - came in in 3h6m01s. Interviewed twice after the race and 2nd interview was on the S4C news before

Well done JB, that's a cracking time. will look out for you on the TV tomorrow.

how u do fast legs? i wernt near you im guessing. i only clocked 3.30  was 1.33 halfway but boy did i find those last 5 miles hard! took 15 mins from mile 21-22. only thing that saved me was the jelly beans. think i consumed about 200 of them. hit a second wind, got through the wall an did 7.30 last mile. back next year def. smash my time i hope. i just found the downhill so hard to discipline . thought miles 12-15 was a killer too.

Morning all

Well done RW4, good time, considering the weather,I'll be back for more next year! hope to see you there. I was happy with my time 3:12:16, but did want to go sub 3:10. Next year. Came 36th and 19th in the V40 category

Well done to every one, I didn't have time to look for anyone at the start, I got off the bus found a bush, and run to the start, was getting myself dressed going up the pass!
