Anyone got a long range weather forecast for this race?

I TOTALLY agreen with what you say about FLM / GNR fellrunner. When I reviewed this race on here a few years ago I said the same thing. There are so many hidden gems on the UK marathon calendar, why bother with the hustle and bustle when you can just drive to snowdon, get a bus to the start, run the marathon and then drive home! Done London twice having enterd 7 years on the trot, shant be doing it again. Will leave it to the rhinos and scooby doo's of the world

For those that loved Snowdon this year one to definitly consider next is the White Peak Marathon in May. Held on a totally traffic free course in the Peaks its also got dtunning scenary, and pretty much the only undulations are the steep downhills to the finish.

hey guys found you

dont mean to offend anyone but i wouldn't enter ANY city race if you paid me. give me hills, mud, grass and my dog and that's me happy

i got a bit worried on saturday when i got to the summit of snowdon all alone and realised i'd run the wrong race !

think i'll be back for 4th's next year as i edge my way closer to the 4hr mark. think if i loose 1-2stone it would be doable

fr - i'm planning on doing the 62m 3 rings of shap next june - do you know of any runs in may that are around 40m-ish? april i'm fine with - will either do 3 peaks or highland fling

Hey leave ol' Scooby Doo alone, he did very well on Saturday!
30/10/2007 at 13:05

here you all are!

so when are the entry forms out?

feeling better about my dismal time after tv last night said probably one of the hardest marathons in europe ... taking around 40 minutes longer that normal marathon time ... which means basically i have gotten better .... on that note does anyone know of a nice flat marathon in the UK say early/middle next year so i can really test that theory out?

30/10/2007 at 14:10
City or country hun?
30/10/2007 at 14:29
White Peak in May boing.....
30/10/2007 at 14:59
i don't mind where it is just fancy something flat to see what my 'real' marathon time actually is ... don't want anything too big aka london or other such sillyness ... PF white peak does not sound flat!
