Ha ha - love it JD.   Four miles in Santa costume in the rain for me (which felt like 14 miles!), with mince pies and mulled wine en route  - love the last Club run before Christmas (and so it would seem, by the number of tooting car horns, do the locals!!).

Brer - good luck for the weekend.   Hope the floods recede and you're able to run the route.   RFR a little worried about more rain forecast when I saw him tonight and possibility of not being able to get to race   Fingers crossed.

6.46m recovery run done. VERY wet and windy!!

Right, going to have a look at next week's schedule and try to shift things around a bit. No chance of doing the planned 4m and 10m on Tuesday!! Or so I'm told....

Worried about brer - has she floated away??

Had a nightmare round trip to East Cornwall today via assorted trains, replacement buses, and taxis to check Mum's OK for Christmas.  Not driving for another 2-3 weeks until collarbone fully healed.

It's certainly damp underfoot at the moment.

No running today (yet), but my friends completed the Portsmouth Coastal marathon today and see that Brer got round in a good time too.   Look forward to reading all all about it

Just discovered the Christmassy smileys, so now going to have to type something else just so I can use them

All the best for the festive season fellow Snodders    Ok, I'll stop now

Hi all, just had a festive mudbath at Portsmouth.went flat on my face into a huge pool of mud just a mile in so resembled something out of World war pne trenches film!!! Cracking event though given the conditions.Ambled in at3:53 so fairly happy given the amount of time i spent on my butt, face etc!!!
Hey Fatboy....you haven't slowed down!!!
Enjoy festive jollies team...not long till entries open

Evening all, sorry haven't been on in a while Christmas our busiest time of year trying to sort two homeless projects out! My cooks are off so tomorrow I'm cooking a full Christmas dinner for 50! That coupled with a nasty stomach bug last week has meant not a lot of running here. Then doing it all again for 11 of us at home on Tuesday! :-P

Hope everyone has a great Christmas!!!
24/12/2012 at 07:52
You are a saint Tr....happy Christmas to you too x
24/12/2012 at 08:29

TR - Hats off to you mate. It's refreshing and re assuring to hear of other people devoting their time to help those who are in need.  All the very best to you.

24/12/2012 at 08:44

TR40- Hope you manage to have some sort of break!

Morning all

Bit of a damp start, but the first run of the day done and dusted: 6.5m recovery. Off to make turkey stock now.... before the next run! Trying to clear tomorrow's running commitments today

24/12/2012 at 10:48
Stage 1 of Operation Trifle complete. Smell of cloves which are studded in the honey roast ham coming from the oven is making me feel very hungry! Off for run number two once ham comes out
24/12/2012 at 12:56

Ham's done. So is second run 8.08m in 58.51 (7.17av). Lunch next, followed by stuffing making before next recovery run

24/12/2012 at 15:52

sorry to hear you've had the bug TR40 - it's been most of the way through our house as well, I'm placing bets on the youngest coming down with it tomorrow...  Hope the Christmas dinner went well today and that you enjoy the family one tomorrow.  Christmas dinner is the one meal I'm banned from the kitchen for, although the downside on that is that we don't have Christmas dinner until boxing day

Sounds like you've had a busy day JD - although I won't ask how you've made turkey stock (presumably) before roasting the turkey

Well done at Portsmouth Brer, great time after all you've done this year, even without the mud!

very little running been going on here, but I've been braving the weather when possible, and hoping to get out a few times this week...

Hope everyone manages to stay dry and safe over Christmas!

Nadolig Llawen Pawb Merry Christmas Everyone
