Sorry SS, I hope you aren' t doing it as I want the best coffee in the area after finishing the race!! (although you did say you make that awesome flapjack in advance!!)
Very disappointed to miss this year with a knee injury I picked up in June. Hope to be back next year and have a proper go at that 3:30 target.
How is the knee, Greg?
A lot better thanks T-Rex. It's been a slow recovery, but has improved a lot in the last few weeks and I managed a 13 mile trail run yesterday without pain, my longest run since May. Had 3 physio sessions which have helped, not 100% but getting there.
I'm planning to do some longer stuff building up during next year - Wuthering Hike in March and possibly the Trail Marathon at Coed-Y-Brenin in June.
Did anyone do the trail marathon last year - what was it like?
Definitely back for a 7th helping in 2013 - trying for sub 3:49 when TR gets the list going.... I assume we'll be back for the rain and gales as usual??
Greg - I did the half marathon at CyB (having switched from the full) - fantastic event - very well organised - great course and excellent value (items in goody bag, t-shirt, race momento etc worth more than the entry price!)
Fancy this one as love the Snowden area and done all the mountains must be time to do the marathon now!!! When do applications open?
1st January 2013.
Oh heck, I'm sure I said "never again" ..... but maybe that was last year?
Also doing Coed y Brenin again. Did half this year and really loved it. Hoping to go all the way in 2013 .....
Was I the only one to miss the "weather" this year?
I'd love to do it.
How does the application process work? Is it first come first served or do you have to be "accepted" (i would think the event would be over subscribed but having never run this before i might be talking total nonsense).
Thanks very much. Nervous at the thought of entering let alone running the thing
Count me in. Best race in the land!
How quickly does it fill up ?
Will probably do this one next year, looks a good one. It's either Snowdon or Beachy, Snowdon is a lot closer to me though so that's probably what I'll do.
