Hiya gang..all not well in Brer land..have man flu! I don't think the 40 minute wait at beginning of WP marathon helped..bloody freezing!

However, fantastic result Chrissi, bet that was one good day out.

SD-Hebden Bridge needs to be taken slowly to appreciate the fantasticness of it. I love it there.

TR41 seen rave reports about Excalibur on Saturday-we'll be there buddy. You, Panad(team manager) and me

JD-cheers for promo info...must see if my credit card can sustain any more damage though before I buy anything else running related

New addition to the family here.  Archie, 3-year-old Welsh border collie.  Slightly on the mental side, lots of energy.  After he's settled in a bit will have to see what he's like at running ...  (Better than me I should imagine.)

2 down, just Snowdonia to go this year ...

Oh TRex...Archie will be agreat running buddy. Mine is now but has taken two years to get him to be so (he is only 2 1/2 now though), however 10 miles across hills and dales takes 2 hrs due to sniff stops/toilet/stiles/gates/drinks station at canal etc. Tis a magical evening out though

Soon be October Other Half...actually, I think it's arrived here already

Lurgy persists but not letting it concern me. A good time to chill and let the body heal before the next load of abuse I'm about to hurl at it

ps Sweatshop having an online warehouse clearance..some fairly good deals to be had

OH- well hello there

T Rex- have fun with the newcomer

Brer- weather not so good with you then? Hope you get better soon

Blooming hot for running here I know, I know... shouldn't complain - 5.69m recovery this morning and 8.21 in 1hr (7.18 av) this evening.

Fab track session tonight! I have got a Facebook group together to help with motivation for speedwork and we had a brutal one tonight! 5 sets of 5x300mtr @ 5K pace with 100mtr jog recovery and 5 min recovery run between each set. Surprised at the end to find total mileage was almost 10m! With my morning recovery run, brings the day up to a respectable 15.54 and legs feeling good again! Hooray!

Great running JD   Hope you feel better soon Brer - half term is just around the corner!   Talking of which, slight problem with our caravan, so looking for last-minute self catering accommodation in Snowdonia for myself and Mr SD and our dog ..... everywhere seems to be booked up, so if anyone has any suggestions/contacts, I'd be very grateful

It's freezing here again and I still feel lousy..

SD-just a thought. It might be worth asking the guy at Bryn Gloch if he has had last minute cancellations for one of the dog-friendly statics. He told me last year that they had many all through the summer. The caravans are lovely. I don't know of any other self catering joints. Got us a very nice dog friendly hotel in Llandudno last year, very cheap and welcoming-booking.com (DO NOT GO TO THE ALEXANDRA THOUGH..omg-I caught fleas there after the Orme Race!

Brer - had same thought as you ..... static booked at Bryn Gloch from Sunday   Don't care what the weather does .... can't wait    Hoping it'll help me get my mojo back - haven't run for two weeks now ... all virused out

Have a great holiday weekend, folks!
