St Albans 10k price raise.

Is is just me or am i being unrealistic? I know price hikes are inevitable from time to time but i've just gone on to the Runners World events page looking for entry into the St Albans 10k. I've done this race for the last 4 years, and it is one of my favourite events. After checking last years price in my email confirmation, the price has gone up from £11.50 to £21. That's a price raise of more than 82%! And for that reason, i'm out...

don't blame you........without a blinking good reason for the raise then the best thing is to vote with your feet

Yeah, a raise of maybe up to £15/16 would have been a bit more acceptable i think, but there is a limit!

Sounds like someone has already decided what their profit is going to be and then worked backwards.
