Have not been in this event, but I was a course sweeper for the Stort 30, which is also a Challenge Running Event, and the organisation was solid. The race director is a keen ultra runner himself, and takes the reputation of his events very seriously.
Hi Mike I am the organiser for this event so please feel free to ask anything you want.
Ben is correct that I do take my reputation seriously and have run in many Ultra's myself including a few with Ben.
Happy help with any advice if I can.
Mike, I ran this year and can confirm it was well organised and supported. Navigation is pretty straightforward. Much of it was frozen this year, but there is certainly potential for parts of it to be a bit muddier on a milder day. Nice medal.
I'm going for this one!
Quick question Lindley, is it possible to run sections, say between CP's with my dogs? Hubby could drive to each CP to pick them up if needed.
Hi Liz have no real issues with the dogs running sections, there are quite a few stiles and gates on the route with some electric fencing. There are lots of sections with livestock such as sheep, horses and cattle so they would need to be leashed. It's all public bridleways so no problems with permissions. There are a few short sections on unpaved roads too. Happy for Albi to meet you at CPs
Fantastic, thank you very much!
As far as I'm concerned the end of the race is not the same as the start. My girfriend will be at the starting point but she is not driving. Will there be any transport provided for families/friends? Or do we have to organize our own?
Thanks for your help.
Looking forward the 2nd of March...
Cool just let me know when you have confirmed with her and I will add her to the list.
I'm interested in the travel arrangements for runners. Single, so have to get myself to and from events, and whether the practicalities make sense can be the difference between entering and not.
Lindley is your email email@example.com?
Yes that's correct
