I'm entered as marathon build up. I keep hearing the word "Hilly" in relation to this one. How bad are they? If anyone's done Folksworth - better or worse on the hillyness front?

I probably won't be feeling in the least bit romantic by the time I'm finished!

Just had the email saying that they will keep us informed re the weather, and that we should have a look at the web site to see if it is going ahead or not. Bearing in mind that computers are known to crash when alot of people are trying to access the same information.

I suggested to them that as this has been entry by online only, ie they have all our  email adresses, that they should consider doing a mass emailing to all runners on whether the race will go ahead or not. This can be done early Sunday morning so people can check their emails before they set off for the race.

 Just an idea?

I suspect this will be off - more snow here and it's still falling.

Its off.

Regarding hills, its better than Folksworth, ie there more of them.

Hills are your friends.

I'm uncertain about the friendliness of hills. i know, I will learn to love then yet.

NOT!

but I'm sorry this one's cancelled, I'd managed to get sort of excited about it.

its a shame its canccelled as there is nothing worse then not running when u really want to but i respect there decision as its to ensure the safety of the runners.
