To anyone thinking about doing this, THIS IS THE BEST RACE OF THE YEAR.

I agree, the best race i have ever done.

ran over the roaches today. unless we get 5 weeks of bone dry weather i'll be running in my fell shoes.

I'm a native of Staffordshire and grew up pretty close to the Moorlands area.  Where does this route go??  When is it?? I might venture out of Yorkshire and do it!!

OK, I just read the entry form - duh.  I would love to do this, I know the area well, however it's the day after my running club's annual Xmas bash.  I'm afraid I will have to decline ....

I entered a few weeks back on-line and still have not received my race number. Has everyone else had theres?

Cazmo, I think you pick the number up on the day this year.

 Last year they sent them out, mine was lost in the post but they kindly replaced it without problems so don't worry.

Route: start from the reservoir, and then up Whitty Lane across fields to end up at Upper Hulme. Then along the roaches road, maybe 1 mile of road then sharp climb up onto the roaches.

 All the way along the Roaches to Roach End, then long return back along the roaches road back to the fields at Upper Hulme and then reverse the route back.

We re-enter the reservoir through a back route, always a bit of a slog the last bit!
