Well, I've signed up now, so the knitted snail could be mine.
Or will it be a knitted viaduct?
I think its a couple of weeks before. Theres an entry list on the Harriers website.

Mmm sounds like a plan
Think I will enter in the morning.
My entry's in the post. This is a great event and the weather's always kind.
I've just watched this year's goody bag videos so far (up to 7 of 10). They tease us mercilessly. My guess on the sandwich sketch is a sachet of mayonnaise. Who's betting on mustard?
As for the binoculars looking at the trees, a dollop of bird plop in or on something? And what about the walk across the fields with the dog, the shoes and the stench? I see a theme developing and it's not nice.
Frodo, fancy seeing you here. Snowdonia and now Stockport 10. We get around.
BritNick- I know what they are!!!!! But I have insider information Actually I have no idea what the gnome one might be about........?
Adele- I don't think I have read any bad reviews of this race and so yes you should definitely enter.

Hiya!
I'm still part-benched, but should be fine by the time this rolls round. I'm loitering on the Lakeland 50/100 thread too as I'm thinking of making the ultra leap this year. I hear you're a bit of an expert in the field...
morticia, wasn't the little fella a Diddy Man of Ken Dodd origin? I'm sure the voice was a speeded up Ken Dodd and it looked a bit like him. I don't know what the sawing was all about though.
Yeah Frodo, I've done a bit over the years. The L50 is a toughie, even though it's 'only' 50 miles. It demands great respect. Get plenty of long weekends out in the hills to build up the leg strength. I recommend plenty of LDWA events, say 3 - 4 a month.
sorry that should have read;
