Wrinkly..if you can run 10 miles you will plenty of stamina for the suicide six, noproblem go for it.

Nibbs, glad you are finally accepting the inevitable.

Thanks lads doing this one then see you all there hopefuly. Nibbs is that a false sense of security you are throwing out there ?

Nothing false there Wrinkly. Exileld is a has been ,I'm a never was and Waylander is a not likely to get there

Wrinkly dont listen to them, they are three fine fit specimens of running elitism :-/

You'll be fine if you have a 10 miler in you although it's not an easy course. Just don't put yourself under any pressure and enjoy it, that's the only way around this one :-)

well Application is in the post so willprobaly see you all there for a fine day out by the river or is that in it

Wrinkly you have done wrong by listening to other people. You will come out of that pond smelling of .... and you will carry that smell around with you. There are no showers, and I guess you will go to the pub with Caz and sit there stinking of .... Oh the thought of it is unbearable.
Still it is too late know. If you want to see last year's mob going through the water go into click on photo gallery, and click down to last years race. I shall be there with two other photographers to record the happy event. The smell last year when they came out was unbearable.
I've been past the pool three times today, and the path over the stream is really muddy. The Council have just brought in a pile of leaf cuttings to cover the muddy bits up, so I guess it will be o.k. All we want know is a nice frosty morning, say about minus 2 with mini icebergs floating on the water..... it could happen yet?

Ah but Brian, if we all go to the pub smelling the same we wont notice the stanch of each other, whilst at the same time clearing the pub making the bar more readily accessable :-)
28/10/2005 at 10:11
You've got a point there Caz
28/10/2005 at 12:42
Not as daft as I look and sound eh!! ;-)
28/10/2005 at 12:43
It will give the kids chance to smell the real country side cant wait for that hug of my daughter at the end if i can catch her
brian i need a good photo for the album please
28/10/2005 at 12:53
No problem there, Should have at least three camera's on the course. Weather permitting.

Another newbie to this one! It all sounds a bit scary but youv'e not put me off so far!! Any help with what shoes to wear though or are waders a better option?
28/10/2005 at 20:09
Flippers would be the sensible option for this but I think you would get away with x country shoes (not spikes )

Caz, you couldn’t possible be!!!

Wrinkly / LR just be game for a laugh.

Brian, have you considered doing weddings on a Saturday now you have a team?

Nibbs you doing it bare foot again like big Tony or is that just cross country?

Been on the course today, the Start/Finish area resembles a bog (as in Ireland).
Having got caught in that rain yesterday in Kinver, and having an hour's run back in Terrential Rain, I have to say that I've had my share of water for this year thank you. If it is raining on the day, I shall have done my 2 hour run, and made the hard decision to stay indoors.

My entry form has finally been sent off today.
