12TH JULY 2005
The last few years have been fire and brimstone so good weather will be a right turn up for the books.
Looking forward to it.
Fingers crossed Tracey. Was soaked to the skin on the start line last year. Didn't see any of the views, head down against the wind and rain!!!
I am looking forward to it now after months of dread.
Seren - you will enjoy every step. The support along the route is fab.
Can't afford first class WA!
Hope weather in Snowdon is good for you guys especially as we will be staying in Aberystwyth for the weekend.
Off to bed now, on 05:28 to Swindon tomorrow
Early start for you RK. Enjoy weekend in Aber.
Off to work we go...
Kev.you never seem to stay still at the moment.......
need to start thinking about packing for the weekend.staying 3 nights which should be fun
When do teenage boys start to use thier brains? Boff Jnr has chores in the morning - intended purely to make sure he is out of bed - all he has to do is give the cattle water.
The water tub was withing a C - shaped coral of 10 foot long by 6 foot high steel cattle hurdles. (the hurdles are arranged this way to allow the cattle within the hurdles for feed - gets them used to the hurdles for when we need to handle them, vet visits, moving etc). Anyway Boff Jnr was outside the hurdled area and I suggested he move the water tub out of the hurdles and into clear field as the cattle where being too thick to get the water... Boff Jnr was no better - he decided the best way to get the tub was to open up the hurdels - which of course meant nothing was holding one side and it collapsed! These things are heavy - fortunately no-one was injured. Why he didn't walk around the hurdles and take the tub out of the open (10 foot gap) end of the hurdled area I have no idea!
Boffin.you are in for a long wait with teenage boys.......
.................... a very long wait
I'm increasingly grateful that I've outgrown my kids
Ummm, blokes? Grown up ones I mean? 'Nuff said I reckon.
Oh yeah and afternoon all.
son can't afford to insure his car for next year so we are getting rid of it.i hate trying to sell anything so i think we will just do it for scrap value
Mouse - glad to hear you can still get about. Must be very inconvenient having unfriendly buttocks.
Boffin - adult stuff is so boring to teenagers. There are too many things going on to think!! Hope you are getting about okay. How is Sweetie?
Seren - see you there. Should be a good weekend
Still looking good for Saturday....
Shame about the buttock though Mouse, must be very annoying. Do you know what it is? I ask because a friend had pain in a similar pain which turned out to be tight hamstrings.
I'm good to go these days, 5 miles last night, felt good at the time and have virtually no pain this morning. Whoo hoo!
Pain in the bum, pain in the back - it all adds to the spice of life I guess? It is good the pummeling is working for you Mouse
5 miles is great news Tracey - you must be on the road to progress. Wonder what it is like in Progress - anybody ever get there?
Morning all run 23 miles no aches and pains, put a gate together and shift old washing machine out and new one in and I ache all over
Did make me laugh that we paid £10 to have the old one picked up and it lasted about 20 minutes in the front garden before it was nicked talking to the delivery drivers they haven't picked up an old washing machine for months as they all go missing before they get there
Great running Tracey.
Jones - excellent training. Sods laws about the washing machine. Any news on moving or are you staying put?
Very mild out today.
Had you but known Jones and you could have just left the machine outside and saved yourself a tenner?
Feeling positively autumnal out there - mild and blustery with the odd golden leaf fluttering about...
Morning all 10 miles last night, as you say Boffin very autumnal especially as the sun was going down turning everything gold got very dark and very spooky at the blink of an eye running through Clyne though
