12TH JULY 2005
NR, that's a profound statement
well done on the Driathon Kev
and very well done on the bikeathon Seren
Sue - thought it was quite apt.
Frosty out today so wrap up warm.
There be sunshine above that mist - Keeps peeping through ever so often.
Was a bit of a mixed bag of weather again. My washing didn't dry, no surprises there!!
At least its Friday.
How is work with you Sue?
Evening all! Weekend at last.
work is a four letter word NR! It's ok (ish), very very busy and lots of staff stressed and worried. It's the same all over the NHS, but mental health services in Wales are under particular pressure at this time cos of new legislation and the benefits changing. We are bracing ourselves for the horror that'll start in April when the bedroom tax takes effect.
Enough of that, anyone going down to Cross Hands to the park run this morning?
is it starting today....we are going to try the bryn bachj one as haven't done that one yet.........though i have ran the route a few tiomes in the aquathons and triathlons up there
Sweetie had a look not so long ago for the Cross Hands park run - it wasn't listed. She won't be there today for certain, but whereabouts is it for future reference?
I saw the physios last week and the best news is that I may be running sooner than I thought - in the spring for a conservative estimate. Apparently I have some aquatherapy sessions to come - maybe they want to teach me to swim?
Blustery this morning and a bit on the chilly side. I have some fencing to repair due to one of my rams getting rather excited at all the girls in another field. - Given I had to retrieve him from the girls yesterday, then we may have the odd late lamb this year! It wouldn't surprise me if he has got back in with them this morning!
Sue - oh dear.... work sounds hard. Cross Hands run sounds good, may give it a go one day soon.
Great news about your recovery Boffin. You will be doing Swansea 5k this year I am sure. Rams,eh.....?!!!
RK - sounds like your new year's resolution is going well
Good Golly..... I am not sure how we lasted so long, but Boffette has just had her first 'sleep over' - only three 12 year old girls, but they didin't sleep - at all, and gosh are they loud at night!!!
Boff - just remembered your question - so sorry! You can set up an account with Amazon for just what you wanted, just Google for how. The answer for the sleepover problem is also easily solved - earplugs.
Well, we are a plague house as I'm pretty sure Daisy has Norovirus. She is on the mend now but had 15 hours of severe nausea, diarrhoea, stomach cramps, joint pain and headache. She is able to keep fluids down now but is as weak as a kitten. Having seen what this bug can do to a healthy, robust teenager, I dread to think how it would affect an invalid, no wonder ot closes hospital wards. Tom has AS maths tomorrow, just hope he doesn't wake up feeling nauseous...
Boffin - you just don't know what's in store with teenagers!!
Tracey - I hope Daisy will be better soon. Hope you manage to escape the virus too. Good luck to Tom with his exam. How is the kitchen?
Ran Corus race today and got first lady in 31.29 for just over 5 miles. Lovely day for it and always good to meet up with fellow runners
Tracey.i hope it doesn't spread.especially at exam time..........middle son has another exam today......so glad the snow didn't stick much as he didn't fancy walking
Nutty.your cabinet must be overflowing.....glad that your training is showing the results
I'm off for athe dreaded swim this morning
Thanks Seren and RK. I have quite a collection of tasteless plastic to show for my wins!!!
Enjoy your swim Seren.
Monday.......where did the weekend go?
