Evening all,

Mostly sorted my bike, and horn is installed. Toot parp toot honk !

It's all go, thanks for the best wishes. Not swam more than 800m since I was a kid so a PB will be in the bag tomorrow regardless.

Chris, I will be doubtless wishing I had come running early tomorrow.

Boffin, 5k is not that far if there are pies, and cake, at the finish.

Good luck WA.  Good day for it.  You know you love it really.

Feel as if I could have stayed in bed myself this morning. I am sure the run will be great when I get going .  See you later Chris and FM.

Have a good one all.

Morning all

Alex, go for it mate.

5k doesn't seem that far now Alex

If Santa does indeed exist, then maybe Gremlins do too...

... that might explain many things!

Enjoy your swimming / running this morning - I'm sure to be here when you get back.

Afternoon, nice run there guys.

Tri went well. Last in the swim as usual (I think, unless there was someone massively slower than me). Bike bit went ok apart from falling off the first time I tried to clip in. Must fiddle with my riding position, and just jogged the run because by that point I could not be bothered. Having said that my jog is a whole lot faster than everyone else's run.

Nam was a great help too, getting the vest I had forgotten. Lost a min or so on the run as I got pulled for 'nakedness' by a marshal (I was running without a top and they made me get it).

Aha, it is not just you Chris!!

Methinks the the forum quick link button is bust!

- Personally I blame all these smiley codes that must have got into the act... wasn't I just talking about Gremlins?

Tri sounds fab, well done WA.  I am wondering about having a go...bit of a bike issue going on though. Last time I got on a bike I collided with a fat kid (yes his girth was relevant, it protected him from injury) and ended up spending an hour lying flat and in agony outside The Junction awaiting rescue whilst strangers pointed and I dimly smiled upwards at them. Can I get a cycling coach?

Swim, run, bike..May I propose a modern tri event of strimming, raking and,.  for the distance event, taking half contents of home to recycling. Knackered from all of the above. Hot and sweaty from raking two foot high grass - neighbours didn't approve of my "it's a wild flower meadow" idea.

WANT to run but have been naughty and not done half term homework so will need to stay in. Humbug.
