I'm doing this one on the 25th September - it's at Bury St Edmunds. Anyone else?

Ooh, ello Glenn :o)

Was just looking over this one with a view to putting myself into hozzie with a 10 miler!

Gonna try a few pressured runs and see how I do, will decide from there.

Is it likely to be easy to get race day entries?

Should be easy PD, doesn't seem to be oversubscribed, possibly because it's taking place in Tractor Central.

Hi,

Looks like a good race, in a good cause, and its good to see another Pacers organised event in the calender, hope this will be a regular event. Nice warm-up for Felixstowe too.

What is the course like, I am guessing it has the odd hill here and there?

Cheers,

SS

The odd hill indeed but what goes up must come down & all though it may not seem like it the ups & downs are fairly balanced. And running past Bill Wyman's pad thrown in. Maybe he'll stand outside with the jelly babies!

Should be regular hopefully.

Not really fit for this but that's not going to stop me!

Take your time, enjoy the scenery - there's no rush!

hi,

I'm entered for this one, which is going to be interesting cause I'm by no means ready for it... as well as being the slowest runner I know. Oh well, glad to hear there's no rush :-)

Any idea how often the water stops will be? i'm trying to decide whether to take my own or not.

If Bill Wyman is standing outside with jelly babies he'll be trying to lure schoolgirls in, not runners.

Water stations at about 3.5miles & 7.1M
23/09/2005 at 15:19
do you think it`ll still be possible to enter on the day?
23/09/2005 at 16:59
Apparently yes IC4.

Fine to enter on the day Ian

I'm gonna have a crack at this one. Haven't tried a 10 for 2 yrs since setting my PB. Scared as I know it's a difficult one for me to beat (66.00). I'm not getting any younger!

See you there.

Great race, well marshalled, lovely route. My best result in ten years too.

Well done Glenn.

I enjoyed it too, especially as the rain held off. The undulations just kept coming though didn't they! I made it slightly more challenging than I expected, but I placed higher than I have for, well, maybe higher than I've ever placed if my friends tell me the truth.

Just outside my PB, but that was set on a totally flat course. You are right, the organisation was excellent, marshalling also excellent and a decent goodybag/t shirt combo too.

Well done St Edmund Pacers eh?

Enjoyed the course lots - very pretty route and a lovely day for it.

Big thanks to all the friendly and encouraging marshalls en-route. Thanks especially for hanging about for me to arrive at the end of the field ;-)

Hope to be back next year (maybe faster)!
