Anybody out there doing this? First time for me, so would appreciate any feedback on the course etc.

Me too, all my friends are doing London and since i've been training with them I may as well try and do a marathon and this is the best fit.

This is a good race and very different from London. It's two laps, the first being crowded with the halfers running with you while the second lap is a little quiet but good to 'dig in'

The course itself is not too hard - there are a couple of hills that you have to do twice but they aren't that bad (well on the first lap anyway).

Its a friendly well organised race, but take your own energy drinks - only water is available.

My mum has informed me that the weather forecast for Sunday is meant to be good, a nice spring day!  So fingers crossed that they've got it right and the rain hold off for us!

See you all there and good luck!!

I'm not going to manage this I'm afraid, in my last week of six weeks out with a torn calf muscle. I'm allowed to start with a gentle run this weekend, but I somehow don't think a marathon is what the physio had in mind . Good luck to you all.

7.30am Race day, yep we are going to need our snow shoes.

I am jinxed with the weather every  race I do. Only a beginner and only the half for me.

See you there. Good Luck to All

I Thought so, i ran with you for part of the race in 2006 and chatted to you briefly after last years race. Ironically we run for the same club !

I only ran the half marathon at Taunton today as i have the London Marathon next sunday (my first attempt at London), so thought it wise to just run around at half marathon pace.

Good luck at the RAW Emirates, isn't that a 250km run ?  wow, thats some feat !

London will be my 3rd marathon so far this year, i've had 2 warm-up marathons already, most recently Dumfries 2 wks ago in 2hrs 57mins. Aiming for around 2.50 to 2.55 at London.

The runner from the 100 marathon club was Steve Edwards, we've met a few times during races (most recently at the Dumfries marathon), he's an incredible multi-marathoner !

After London i've got Shakespeare Marathon (probably go around at 7.25 m/m pace), then i'm 'racing' at Edinburgh Marathon attempting a PB.

I'll say 'hi' to Dai Barber when i next see him
