So who is signing up for 19th May next year - think using a picture of me on the event page for next year will put off a few people!

I am sorely tempted, I would like another crack at the 50, and maybe see if a sub 8 is possible. It was a very nice event.

WFMATE,  Well done for your peformance, you and you friend were flying when you passed me. I put in an effort to catch you up over the last ten miles, but you were too quick! Did you run negative splits?

we don't know our split because we never once looked at a watch to see the time or distance covered, but from what friends told us we kept a very consistent pace, once we got to CP4 we may have sped up as it is our regular running stomping ground, home advantage helping us.

Well just over a week later, and i am just about recovered... Haven't done anything longer than 10m is the last week tho! It's been too hot! Back in proper training from today!

Well done everyone again. Richard you'd get a sub 8 no problem, i think you took it too easy haha! You'd smash the Thames Trot 50 (feb i think), that's a flat 50 thats quite a nice run and i measured it short too...

SB, certainly didn't feel easy in the second half! Defo tempted by the Thames Trot, but slightly worried about recovering in time for a goood VLM. But Cardiff was a good weekend, after the race I actually made back to the Noodle bar in town and had a swift pint in that pub opposite Sport Wales, rounded the day of nicely.

That was a one-off for me.  It didn't quite tick all the boxes, also I prefer more offroad in my long events.  There are so many events clamouring for attention and, unless you're BritNick of this forum, you can only realistically do 8-10 ultras a year.
