How long is Spring Hill? Is it about a mile?
05/01/2012 at 17:34
littleladcox - more or less a mile

Johnas, where you been mate?!

And no I'm not doing this one...just randomly saw your name pop up! How's it all going?

All good Stevie - just trying to rally the troops for the UK's #2 HM

I pop in on your thread every now and again to see the ridiculous times you lot are posting... you injury free? And what's your excuse for not visiting us in TW?

feel free to drop a post in, will be good to hear from you.

Don't be intimidated by some of those fasties on my thread...i feel like one of the slowest on there these days

Doing Wokingham the week before to be fair. Like to pick my races cynically, flat and fast!

Reasonably injury free after a slight niggle 6 or 7 weeks back. Just whacked out 5 weeks of 60+ miles, so it seems ok!

Work still curtailing your running, or are you back in the game?

Greetings everyone.  Got a text message on Sunday to say only a few places left, so immediately went online and secured a place.  This will also be my third running of this awesome race.  Has it now sold out, can anyone tell me?

Hi Mr Finknottle

Approx 200 entries left - expected to sell out by Friday!

I'm in

Wonder what weather we will get this year

11/01/2012 at 12:57

Please let it be like 2011 NOT 2010!

I kept my plastic poncho on until mile 7 in 2010 - looked like Forest Gump!

I'm in again.

Will give me some idea of what shape i'm in for Edinburgh Marathon

17/01/2012 at 15:03

Good luck to all those entered!

EmmaC - hadn't realised you were one of the Asics 26.2 crew. Will be keeping a close eye on your training in the run up to the TW HM - congrats on the selection

Hi EmmaC, I'm fine, thank you very much.  And thank you for the welcome back.  Very sweet of you.  Am having to really work hard on my training now as I did have a brief flirtation with barefoot running, but really need someone to coach me.  You can only learn so much from a book.  That did hamper my running so I need to get back to fitness.  Ah well, King George VI Avenue here I come - again!  It's a steep 10% gradient and 1 km in length.  Just thinking of wonderful Spring Hill to Fordcombe again!

I also noted on an email from TW Harriers that the race sold out with a field of 2800 runners (last year it was 2500 I believe).  If that's so, then looks like Kent Police have relented a little in allowing a larger field.  I wonder if they really would allow a field of 3000 for next year?  Hmmm, thinks ...................

Could Ethiopian star go for a new course record?

Great to have Dame Kelly back again to start the race and hand out medals and also for the support once again from Richard Whitehead.

Hello, if you hear of any drop outs I'd be really interested in taking their place. Moving away from T Wells next month so would love to do this before I leave.

Hi Elizabeth. Unfortunately the deadline for transfer of numbers has now passed (was 12th Feb).

Just a gentle reminder that it is against UKA rules to give your race number to anyone else and TW Harriers do ask you don't swap numbers under any circumstances.

Sorry - novice, haven't club run for 15 years. No problem and hope it's all a great success

A question.  When I signed up for this race (have got race number etc), I didn't see a section to indicate which size technical T-shirt you wanted.  Do TW Harriers keep a record of this from previous entries, did I miss something, or do we take a chance on race day?  I did double-check the online entry form and couldn't see this.  My size would be Large, by the way!
