The big toenail on my right foot - which was fine before the race, and was clipped v.short, and looked in no danger - is progressively blackening.

The one which was pre-blackened is fine. Weird.

My toenails look much the same as they did before the race. I must be adapting :o)

Haven't had a twinge, apart from a little bit of stiffness on Sunday where my left achilles tendon joins my heel. I've been absolutely fine after every TW with Bear on support crew, and wonder what secret ingredient he slips into that splendid banana-bread.

Poppy seeds for the opiates, perhaps?

We'd've run faster to get to checkouts for more of that!

You went shopping on the way round??!!

HB - I DON'T want to share your toenail!

Susie Bee - that's the sort of time I am looking at hopefully for TW2008.

As someone who is used to losing toe nails after races, at least it will be nothing new to me next year!

Just wondering whether anyone knows whether the young guy Feed Me!'s team met en route finished. Having had a look at the results, I notice that one group of three finished 90 minutes ahead of the 4th member of their team, in around 18 hours, which I think is a pretty poor show. I do hope they saved their podium moment for when the 4th member crossed the line, though somehow I suspect not.

Susie, if his teammates were a long way ahead of us at CP6 I doubt if we'd have reeled them in quite as spectacularly as that.

Did anyone get his number, as it were?

I'd be surprised if the people supporting him let him go on beyond CP7.

Hope he finished.

Does anyone know the date for 2008?
