Transport to Jedburgh Half Marathon

Hi everyone, 

just wondered if anyone is driving up to Jedburgh for the half marathon on the 28th October and happens to have a spare seat in their car going? Obviously happy to chip in with petrol expenses. I am based in Newcastle but am struggling to find a way to get there by public transport in time for the 11am start. 

Would be grateful for any help and advice!
