Not been able to fit a lot of hills in, more slopes, but having done the notoriously hard Sussex Marathon in April, and a veteran of the Munro last year, I know I have the right mental state of mind. My legs, well just trying to do the best I can with them..

Although I couldnt make the afternoon run through I had a cheeky jaunt (read as chuffing gallop) aroundthe first part of the course. Third time Ive been over there in a month or so.

Wouldnt have said it was getting any easier but I feel as though I am better appraised of the run ahead of me.

Mick, the organiser put a post on the previous page saying the event is full and no waiting list is available.

... But if you email me at rob at trionium dot com, I should be able to find you a place....

Run the a to b leg last night, plus a little extra for good measure, 15.2k of hilly delights.

Cheeky little route!

(Points and laughs)

Hey everybody, he says this is his first half marathon! The mad fool, little does he know ...

My last running only challenge was the JP Morgan Chase 3.5 mile run around Battersea Park in 2012

I have no doubt that it will be hard in Boxhill. Bring it on!

I hope you suffer Derrick.....may mean I get out of the circuit training on the Sunday.  Will gladly pay for a few beers Saturday to anaesthetise!

15/06/2013 at 15:03

No pain (Boxhill half), no gain (a few paid for beers)

7 sleeps.

Box Hill is a Baptism of Fire. Nothing compares to it. Last year I got dehydrated, I had hallucinations, and my whole body went into spasm. Not to be repeated this year.

Hi All,

Is there anyone not able to run this year but who has already bought an entry? I would love to buy it off you as the entry list is now full.  Let me know please,

17/06/2013 at 12:34

Hey Dr Rob, just double checking... we are doing the traditional 13.1mile Munro, you haven't snuck in any extra miles or hills this time

still recovering from Endure24 last weekend, so this is gonna be tough going for me...

looking forward to the challenge.

Lee-  I have a spare place due to good old fahioned groin strain at the weekend. A real shame as i've been looking forward to the race for about a year. Do you have some contact details?

That's good. But I think I would have still been crazy enough to do it, had it been longer.

lee - i left you a message - did you still want my place - be a shame to see it go to waste if you or anyone else wants it.
