Blimey no wonder I struggled today... Just went into my Fetch...  last training was the Cancer Care 5k 6th April when I started to get ill...  then wasn't 100% and also very busy with FLM/Mudchute preparations...  Then got really ill after Mudchute...

That's 3 whole weeks with no training whatsoever...

I expect it's more the illness rather than the lack of training Nam.  You've still been swimming and stuff so your fitness wouldnt have gone really downhill

No I mean I did NOTHING since 7th of April til yesterday... Nada... not even a swim!! 

Oh well...  we've established now that chest infection, antibiotics, period and 3 weeks no training does not make for a good race...  LOL

I'm making a slow comeback...  turbo'd for couple of hours last night and swam this morning (only 500m). Ploddding with Rio later... shuffle more like...

Cant make tonight as I've got evening rehearsal. Went for a run round the route this morning. Was ok..but that hill  had my lungs fit to burst!

(she was cruel tonight too....I am going back to my "boycott until the words "speed" and "work" are not to be heard.....I was sooo slow I was miles behind by the time everyone got to the field!)
Maybe once I can walk again I should run up the hill outside my house

Possibly doing the FE 1m before then, so will have some idea how slowly I can do 1mile.  GOPS yesterday reckons fastest mile was 10.09 at mile 5, but that was downhill   Hope by then could do sub-10 anyway, I guess.  Maybe.  Shouldnt make claims like that. Could all go wrong. Very very very wrong!!
Should be doing the 2m, after that not sure as the 3m is right before exams, so will depend how I am doing whether I do or not

1 mile race is different Barking.  I reckon you can go under 9m/m if you know you only need to do 1...  Will feel sick after but just bomb it.  Did Transcendence 2 in under 18 mins (17:37??) and felt very sick afterwards...

I had to walk about 1k from finish yesterday, could feel myself about to throw up
According to Garmin, had just hit 7.something which could have something to do with it - definatly thanks to gravity there!!
Any idea what tonight was distance wise?

Rio said 3.5 miles of which 1 mile was 10m/m warm up the rest intervals.

It was ok...only did 10 x 1 min with 1 min recovers.  The first bit isn't too bad, it's when you get up to Tensing terrace that your lungs really start to hurt! Didn't go too mad as I dont wanna get injured or ill.  We all still on for a plod sometime next week?
