New for 2008 is the UCLan Mile

Date: Sunday 17th Feb

Time: Womens Race 12 noon Mens Race 1pm

Cost: £3 or £4 on the day.

Hi!

I'm just wondering if you have to be super fast to do this race?! I've just started running and dont want to get left behind!

Hi,

We are looking to incorporate participation and performance. With any race you'll get speedies, get fit runners and first timers. Its a nice distance so that you can test yourself yet you wont be miles away from the finish if you begin to struggle! Hope you decide to enter as we've been getting lots of enquiries regarding standards but we are looking to earn some money for Raise & Give charity so its deffo worth a mile!!

Sorry to be a pain, i am really interested and have decided i do want to run but I have currently lost my cheque book and don't like the thought of sending cash, do you think there will still be places on the day? thanks

Entries are coming in steady but i'm sure we'll have places available on the day. I've had loads of emails asking if its just for students, but just incase anyone else comes on here.......Its for everybody!!

yeah its a all road and is on smooth concrete and free from traffic!

I've had a few emails asking about the local charity.....we (uclan athletics) are not able to give specifically to a charity, so Raise and Give will take and distribute the money accordingly!
