When did Edinburgh Marathon open for entry? - Events

Toying with entering this but not ready yet. Vague notion of doing a Marathon before I am 40. Read it was full in 4 months last year so any idea when entries opened?

What's stopping you entering now ? Surely your 40th is a fixed date ?
And last years info is no use - a lot of races seem to be selling out far quicker this year. Olympic fever maybe ?

Edinburgh also allow transfer of places for ??10. I'd enter & you'll find someone to take it off your hands should you change your mind.

Yes 40th is fixed date but not 100% than marathon is for me and want to do my half marathon first to get an idea.

Entry has been open since the end of May. Though there are normally places until jan/feb sorta time.

Thanks HM in less than a week so will make a decision then! If I do a marathon between this and Loch Ness but Edinburgh is closer and flatter!
