White Peak Marathon and Half-Marathon

23 degrees? In their office maybe?!!!!

I ran/walked around the course on Saturday with a video camera (does an ipod nano class as a camera?) recording stuff on the walk sections, there's a link to it below .

 It's totally raw footage with no editing and (partly) due to the awfulness of my own voice I haven't actually seen it all myself yet. This means it's probably as rough as a badgers backside, rubbish and mostly just me moaning about the heat....... but it's out there if anybody fancies a look.

I don't think there is any dodgy language in it but I'll apologise now just in case

No idea who the chap was finishing with exactly the same time as me though, there was certainly no sprint finish. Had anybody been anywhere near me coming into the finish I would almost certainly  have been finishing behindthem (???)

We had a winter marathon in May 2008, and May 2009.

Proper Bo- You could try my walking technique instead of Iain's and then you'd get an extra 2 and a quarter hours worth of White Peak joy

There was no picnic stop, but there was a different type of stop at the toilets just before the turnaround which seemed to cause the feed station marshalls some amusement (Garmin says it cost me a place - ooops)

I've got no plans for the ND Marathon, but as it's only 5miles from my house I may yet show my face.... It's going to be a tough course and that 'little' climb around 16miles should be a nice little leg tester for you.

Just watched the vid Iain, great stuff and well done on coming second. I got my £20 voucher today for coming secong in age group so well happy.

Wet & cold. We should have held it on the Bank Holiday as in recent past.

I am closing the results lists to further ammendments and will post it on the web site as official confirmed results soon. Any othere comment must be in to me this weekend.
