Am looking for an early July 10k and then an early August half. This one looks quite good. Has anyone out there done it already?
13/04/2004 at 14:51
I've done it once.

2 laps to a flat course through Wimbledon Common's paths.

Very well (almost perfectly) organised. Nice T-shirt and good variety of pubs for the post-race.

Run it twice (2001 & 2002). Very impressed - well organised, nice course, fairly easy to get to. A good event which I'll probably be doing again this year.

Oh this looks good nice run around the common and the chance to kick some Gooners butt! (Just kidding Gary & Brunswick!) Plus support the Windmilers, hopefully will be one of the weekends I'm back in the UK

You may do DJ,
Currently building up after injury so reckon my 10K times will be just under 50 mins.
12/05/2004 at 15:10
Could be a close thing then, last 10K was in 46 minutes
26/05/2004 at 12:13
I probably run it now

target under 45 (dreams) but if I do a PB (46.21) would be more than happy.

Gary, did you do the 3 miler yesterday?
26/05/2004 at 12:54
Jose,

Yes I did, I met Ms Lucan after the race, but didnt go to the pub after. I think I finished approx 21-23 minutes.

See you at the next one.

I've entered this 10K now but DJ's 46 mins might be a bit too fast (got a 48:16 on Sunday). Mrs T is abit faster so at least DJ will get whipped by another Gooner.

Hi me and three friends are looking for a 10k. Two are very new to running we hope to get round in about an hour. Do you think this is a good race for begginers
28/05/2004 at 13:34
Hi John, not done this before but it would appear to be an off road race but could be suitable for beginners as Wimbledon Common is a lovely place.

Looking forward to being whipped by Mrs T! Usually pay good money for that little treat!

Change of plans. My niece is comming to town with her boyfriend. So, not running this year. I might help with the race if needed.
