Chaps and chappesses, just got back from a really hot Wokingham half, and was a bit concerned. About 1-2 miles from the end someone was in real need of medical help.

Does anyone know if he was all right?

Hi Tiptoes, good to hear that you offered to help, and I'm sure that chap much appreciated it.

The guy I saw was on a streatcher, about to be put into an ambulance.

PS. Would I be right in saying you were at the Woodley 10k?

Hi Tiptoes- missed my piggy back, where were you?

Heat stroke/exhaustion, by the looks.  They had him in the shade and were dousing the back of his head wtih water when I went past.  The marshal was radioing for an ambulance.

Very hot out there today. 5 minutes down on last year and I'm running pretty much the same. Shame only about half original entry turned up. For goodness' sake, there's more to running than London!!!

Hope it's better today Tiptoes, at least you didn't require an ambulance!

Seemed somewhat ironic he was wearing a BHF race vest, hope it was nothing more serious than heat stroke!
