I haven't done this one before so I'm looking forward to it, especially as it is only 15 minutes from home. Anyway, I have read that parts of the course are off road and wondered if anyone could advise me on whether my usual road trainers will be suitable? Also, I haven't had my number through the post yet, is this normal or do you collect on the day?

Numbers are on there way apparently - The race director put a message on here earlier, he also mentioned that the show is off but the run is still going ahead.

The off road bit is fairly short, the downhill sections are on a track and not slippery, there is a little bit that is through a field but not usually too bad underfoot. My recommendation would be running trainers but and old pair if you have some.
