I agree- but I'm sure it must be software- otherwise the photographers would having been doing the big events like this manually for years. Technology to read numbers on images is in place- so if they could organise 60-70% this way?

I guess if they took the feed from the marathon results- they could determine time windows and break down the images into groups of runners. i.e. 8 minute milers etc would be at mile 2 between 15 &19 minutes

In some ways- I'd rather not know how they did it- its Magic!

The only reason you had your name and number was because you entered before I think 23rd of May. Its not that we were any different just entered quicker.

This is probably an audacious hijack but hey...

We've just announced our the High Legh village 10k to be held on Feb 24th 2008. £8 entry. Mug for all. Loverlee cheshire countryside- High Legh is next door to Lymm and just 25 mins from Mcr city centre.

Just finished 2008 City of Manchester 10K in 54:21.  Rain held off, big entry, great fun.  Well organised, mostly flat, finishes in athletics stadium next to Manchester City's ground. Well pleased with myself - at age 52, finished with 500+ people behind me! Thanks to Sarah for cheering me on!
