Losing it with Nam and Bear
A weight loss thread for all

Back from the gym - was a great session.  I'm training for the rowing trials at my uni which is who can cover the most distance in 20 minutes.  The last trial was over ten minutes and I just missed out on a place with a time of 1:59 average for 500 metres. Today I did 2:01 for 500 metres but that means I'm only a smidge slower maintaining the pace over double the time, so very happy with that.

Total distance of 4948 metres - I'd like to get up to 5200m by this time next week.  Trial is nine days away

I love that pic H

I'd like a pirate kit but me in lycra would not be aesthetically pleasing!

I've kept a food diary for years but I think now I just gloss over the entries such as "6 doughnuts" D'oh! Nuts.

I think that one might be needed when they start getting them in at the shops pretty soon!!

I think I'm fine resisting stuff if I don't have it available easily - it's the snacking on stuff that I have in a cupboard.  F'rinstance, I have cereal for brekkie most days now but I have a habit of eating handfuls of it dry - and can get through quite a bit of it this way

LOL Bear! And the reason I'm laughing is because that's why I used to do quite a lot at uni!

Er...

You could committ yourself to doing one next year, that way you might get away with it....

Ooops, they didn't ask for proof when I signed up I just liked the pretty logo - I don't want to de-pirate though?! Can I be a pirate supporter?

Ask me when I'm drunk and I'll probably sign up for anything!

You can be a pirate in training!!  I would consider myself that...  What do you think Bear...  I think one of her New Years resolutions would be...

"to earn my pirate badge"

sounds good to me - could be any old tri, doesn't have to be an IM.

I'm focussing on sprint tris with a view of hopefully managing an Oly in the autumn...  it's not IM (yet...) but it's all 'Pirate Training'....

Sooo... come one Aitch....  Neath Sprint in May... very Newbie friendly... or shall I ask in a few hours...?
